I’ve dealt with rejection my entire life; it sucks, but I’ve learned to lean into it and learn from it over time. Rejection can make us better while opening our eyes to potential gaps in our skillset. I believe it is important to give yourself grace after being rejected, but then to dust yourself off and get back to chasing your goals.

The goal was to have a salary of over $100,000 by the age of 25. I knew that this was an aggressive goal, but I wanted to push myself. I had to be disciplined, motivated, and a continuous learner.

Art has always been a special part of my life. I have truly been blessed with a talent that not only enhances my career, but also allows me to use my left and right brain to the fullest.

There are going to be hard days but they make the good days even better. I have a beautiful family that I get excited to come home to, and they are the same motivation behind grinding it out at work and building towards our future. 

I felt very ashamed, sad and defeated when I first received the rejection.
